DF83V – The premium espresso coffee grinder in the DF lineup. Perfect for customers who want a large machine with powerful performance, extremely fast and uniform grinding. Can operate continuously whether in a home or café environment.
FEATURES OF THE DF83V COFFEE GRINDER
- Large 83mm flat burrs: Diamond-like carbon coating with ultra-hard structural properties, allowing continuous espresso grinding for extended periods with minimal wear
- Extremely fast grinding speed: A 20g espresso shot takes only 6-7 seconds to complete
- Magnetic dosing cup: Ensures it always snaps into the correct position to catch all the coffee ground by the DF83V
- Brushless motor with variable frequency drive: Adjustable speed from 300-1600 RPM. This directly impacts coffee flavor through fine particle distribution ratio
- Powerful 680W motor: Grinds all types of coffee from light to dark roast without ever jamming
- Integrated Plasma anti-static device: Eliminates scattering and clumping around the grinder. Coffee grounds flow almost directly from the burrs into the container
- Retention less than 0.1g: The horizontal structure, anti-static technology, and silicone blow-up bellows help discharge nearly all coffee from the machine with each grind
- Stepless micrometric grind adjustment: Easily find the right grind size regardless of which espresso machine you’re using
- Pre-breaking feature before pulling beans into burrs: Helps achieve consistent grinding mass per unit time
SOME DISADVANTAGES OF THE DF83V COFFEE GRINDER
- The adjustment dial is large and quite stiff: Very difficult to turn with just two fingers. You’ll need 3 or 4 fingers to have enough force to turn this adjustment knob.
- It has 2 switches that are confusing: Normally one would be enough. If you turn on the main switch at the bottom while leaving the top switch off, after a day the machine won’t operate but the back of the machine will still be warm.
- The main switch light is quite dim: It’s bright enough in darkness but hard to see in strong lighting. This sometimes leads to not knowing whether the machine is on or off.
- The magnet holding the discharge chute is a bit weak: To make it easy to remove for cleaning, this accessory attaches to the machine with magnets. However, it’s not strong enough, so sometimes when removing coffee you’ll accidentally bump it and pull this chute off the body. However, after getting used to it a few times, this happens less often.
