Melitta Avanza Titan Automatic Coffee Machine

Melitta is a German manufacturer of many automatic coffee machines. Most of these machines just require pressing a button to complete your coffee—including grinding, tamping, extraction, frothing, and adding milk to the cup.

The Avanza Titan takes a slightly different approach. The machine still handles grinding and brewing automatically, but users actively control how much milk foam or hot water to add to their cup through the milk wand.

This makes the compact coffee machine perfect for homes or offices where people have different drinking preferences:

• Americano: Brew espresso then manually add hot water
• Espresso: Just press a button (with double shot option available)
• Macchiato: Brew espresso then add about 15ml of hot milk foam

NOTES WHEN USING MELITTA AVANZA TITAN

• To clean the milk wand, immerse the tube in clean water and press the dispense button as if drawing milk. Clean water will automatically clean the internal milk lines.
• The service button allows changing brew temperature, cleaning brew lines, and accessing other additional features.
• Turn on the machine 1 minute before use to heat the water.
• Wait about 30 seconds for the LED to stop flashing before dispensing milk from the wand.

WHAT THE MELITTA AVANZA TITAN DOESN’T HAVE

• No recipe saving: If someone in the office or family wants to save their favorite drink for repeat brewing, unfortunately the Avanza doesn’t support this. Only the Melitta Latte Select model can do this.
• Limited drink selection: By default, the machine only has espresso and double espresso. Adding hot water (for americano) or hot milk (for latte/cappuccino/macchiato…) is done manually with adjustable volumes (with machine assistance).
