Ethiopian washed coffees have long been highly regarded for their delicate citrus aromas. But Misty Valley’s dry-processed coffee from Ethiopia has a completely different flavor spectrum!
This is a naturally processed version, meaning the ripe coffee cherries are sun-dried whole with the fruit intact. This gives the coffee a very wild fermented fruit flavor.
Misty Valley coffee is highly unusual. Outstanding, persistent aromas!
That’s putting it mildly, but really we should say these aromas are almost “wild” and “haunting” to anyone who experiences them. It’s a fresh scent with intense notes of blackcurrant, blueberry, strawberry, and raspberry, with a sweet chocolate finish. If you close your eyes, you’d think you have a flower in your coffee cup, not just coffee.
In the mouth, Misty Valley coffee delivers a very “smooth” sensation with medium body, sweetness, and balance.
