Coffee from the Wonago area is characterized by a traditional agroforestry system. Rather than large-scale plantations, coffee here grows interspersed among banana trees and native shade trees. This system maintains organic matter in the soil, preserves shade, and supports a diverse ecosystem throughout the garden. As a result, the coffee from Wonago stays very true to the classic Yirgacheffe flavor character.
Harddee is the local traceability designation for this particular lot, situated within the Wonago area of the Yirgacheffe coffee zone.
