In 2021, Eureka launched the Oro Single Dose grinder — a machine built specifically for those who enjoy a wide variety of coffees and brewing methods without wanting to invest in multiple grinders.
In 2025, Eureka released the upgraded Eureka Single Dose Pro, incorporating a number of small refinements based on four years of user feedback.

GENERAL FEATURES OF THE EUREKA SINGLE DOSE LINE
- 15-degree tilted body: This shape isn’t a stylistic choice — it’s an engineering one. The angled design helps coffee exit the grinding chamber faster and more cleanly.
- Air purge funnel for residual grounds: After grinding is complete, pressing down on the purge funnel sends a burst of air through the grinding chamber, blowing out any remaining grounds. Retention is typically ~0.1g or less.
- 65mm burr diameter: Compared to other Eureka models like the Manual (50mm) and Specialita (55mm), this size is a significant step up — reaching commercial-grade territory.
- Stepless grind adjustment wheel: Easily dial in your grind size with just a few turns, with micrometric precision and no limit to how fine the adjustment can be.
- Anti-static technology: Reduces coffee grounds scattering and clinging during the grinding process.
- Includes a dosing cup: The cup’s mouth diameter is compatible with 58mm portafilters.
- Diamond Inside steel burrs with a diamond-hard crystal structure: Through Eureka’s patented process, the steel is treated at -193°C to form an ultra-hard, diamond-like molecular structure. Burr life can reach up to 1 ton of coffee ground. To put that in perspective — if you grind 40g a day at home, you’d go through 60 years of your life before ever wearing them out.

The Eureka Single Dose Pro’s grinding disc uses diamond-in-steel material.
UPGRADES ON THE EUREKA SINGLE DOSE PRO
BUILT-IN CLUMP BREAKER
One of the key upgrades on the Eureka Single Dose Pro over the previous Single Dose is a small component installed inside the chute that breaks up clumps before grounds exit the grinder.

The coffee clumping mechanism is built into the throat of the Eureka Single Dose Pro grinder.
However, feedback on this upgrade has been mixed. Some users find it actually causes more clumping, while others notice no difference at all. The component can be removed without affecting the grinder’s structure, so users can decide for themselves based on their own experience.
BLIND BURR (SCREWHOLE-FREE BURR)
In practice, only the top burr is fully finished without any screw holes. The bottom burr still has 3 standard screw holes as usual.

The 65mm grinding disc of the Eureka Single Dose Pro has no screw holes; it is secured by 4 hidden screws on the back.
This is considered the most significant improvement of the Single Dose Pro, promising more consistent grind quality by minimizing grounds getting trapped in small gaps — optimizing every single-dose grind.
KINGSIZE ADJUSTMENT WHEEL WITH ROTATION COUNTER
On the original 2021 Oro Single Dose, users had to mentally track how many turns they’d made on the adjustment knob. Lose count, and your espresso grind might accidentally become a pour over grind.

The Eureka Single Dose’s grind size adjustment wheel has a rotation speed display.
Eureka addressed this based on user feedback. The new wheel is not only larger and easier to operate — it also displays the actual number of rotations, so you always know exactly where your grind setting is.
The wheel is CNC-machined from solid aluminum, marked with 20 numbered positions across 100 increments. There are 3 full rotations in total, covering the full grind range from espresso to cold brew. According to Eureka’s specifications, each increment on the adjustment wheel corresponds to a 4-micron change.
Each increment translates to roughly 0.5 seconds of difference in actual extraction time.
DOSING CUP WITH ANTI-SCATTER LID
Even with built-in anti-static technology, some coffee grounds will still scatter during grinding. Eureka adds a lid for the dosing cup to eliminate this entirely. That said, users need to be careful when using this accessory. If you’re not paying attention and grind too much, the cup will overflow and the grounds will back up into the chute, causing the grinder to jam completely.
AIR PURGE WORKS EVEN WITH THE ANTI-SCATTER LID ATTACHED
There is a locking bar that blocks back-scatter inside the funnel. Eureka has CNC-cut small slots into this bar, allowing air from the purge funnel to flow through into the grinding chamber and clear residual grounds — without needing to remove the blocker first.

One of the subtle yet sophisticated design details of the Eureka Single Dose blender is the anti-splash lid with ventilation slots.

REAL-WORLD DRAWBACKS OF THE SINGLE DOSE PRO
- Disassembly is relatively involved: In total, there’s 1 screw on the back panel, 1 screw on the adjustment knob, and 4 burr screws to open the grinder up. All are Phillips head, so be careful not to strip them.
- You need to tap firmly to purge all the grounds: It’s not as gentle as it looks in videos — if you want all the coffee to clear the chute, you’ll need to give the purge funnel a fairly firm press.
- Brushed motor vibrates slightly: While other grinder brands are upgrading to ultra-quiet brushless motors, Eureka has stayed with an AC motor. In return, they claim a durability of over 10 years.
- Compared to premium grinders with fully screwhole-free burrs, the Eureka Single Dose Pro feels like a half-step forward: Users cannot upgrade to SSP burrs because aftermarket burr manufacturers don’t make compatible versions for this machine. Eureka has smartly countered this by offering 4 exclusive proprietary burr options for the Pro, which is at least some consolation.
- Requires periodic cleaning: Despite being marketed with a new Zero Retention grind chamber, there are still unoptimized gaps inside. A ring of packed coffee grounds will build up inside the chamber over time — it doesn’t exit with normal purging. This area sits beyond where the sweeper arms reach, so be sure to clean it every 3–6 months.

Coffee grounds accumulate in the grinding chamber of the Eureka Single Dose Pro after prolonged use.
