In the European market, Profitec has achieved genuine success with the compact E61 Pro 400. However, Asian users tend to be more demanding — most want a machine that is not only technically excellent but visually outstanding for the price.

The Profitec Jump is a compact E61 machine with a high level of finish and walnut wood accessories.
Here, beauty is defined by natural wood components. And the most popular choice is walnut. That is exactly why the Profitec Jump was born. The Jump carries over all the technical features of the Profitec Pro 400, listed below.
FEATURES THE PROFITEC JUMP INHERITS FROM THE PRO 400
3-level temperature system: A 3-position boiler temperature switch offering 120°C – 124°C – 128°C, corresponding to brew water temperatures of 90°C – 94°C – 98°C. The highest setting is for users who prefer powerful steam at over 1.5 bar, capable of texturing milk in under 20 seconds.

The Profitec Jump uses a simple 3-level temperature switch.
1.6L heat exchanger boiler: Delivers commercial-grade steam power and allows milk steaming to run simultaneously with espresso extraction.

The ability to steam milk simultaneously during espresso extraction is one of the key features of the Profitec Jump’s heat exchanger boiler.
Active pre-infusion mode suited to light roast coffees: The pump runs for 5 seconds at 4 bar, pauses for 3 seconds, then enters the main extraction phase. The timer counts down accordingly.

The Profitec Jump’s pre-infusion mode supports more optimal extraction of light roast coffees.
OPV valve accessible on top of the machine: Users can increase or decrease the maximum brewing pressure to suit their preference. 8 bar delivers a smoother espresso, while 10 bar can increase body when extracting at a finer grind.

The Profitec Jump features an OPV valve right on top of the machine.
Burn-proof steam wand: Especially important in home environments where children are present.

The Profitec Jump is equipped with a burn-proof steam wand.
- ULKA EX5 vibration pump: Rated for approximately 30,000 extraction cycles (around 10 years of use) and easy to replace at low cost.
- Compact footprint: Just 228mm wide, 448mm deep, and 372mm tall, making the Profitec Jump easy to fit into smaller brewing spaces.
UPGRADES ON THE PROFITEC JUMP
- Compact LED display: Shows settings and parameters, and doubles as an automatic shot timer.
- Fully satin-finished steel body: Except for the E61 group head which is polished steel, the body features a matte brushed finish that keeps the machine looking like new for years compared to a standard mirror-polished steel surface.
DRAWBACKS OF THE PROFITEC JUMP
- The E61 group head requires periodic lubrication and cleaning: After backflushing with cleaning powder, the E61 lever tends to stiffen and needs to be disassembled and lubricated with Molykote 111 grease. If you’re not comfortable handling a wrench to work on your machine, an E61 machine like the Profitec Jump may not be the right choice.
- Profitec warranty service is somewhat involved and requires a qualified technician and proper equipment. If your machine develops a fault (there’s always some level of risk), no one will come to your door to fix it. You’ll need to ship it to a service center and cover the shipping cost yourself. This is worth factoring into your decision.
USAGE NOTES FOR THE PROFITEC JUMP
- There is a plastic “Caution: Hot” warning label on the group head. If you want to remove it, turn the machine on for 30 minutes until the group head is fully heated before peeling. The adhesive will release cleanly and be much easier to wipe off.
- Empty the drip tray every 2–3 days: Don’t wait until it’s nearly overflowing before removing it for cleaning.
- When possible, backflush with a blind basket daily without using any cleaning powder. This extends the time between deep cleans. The reason is that the E61 group head tends to stiffen after backflushing with chemical cleaner, so minimizing that frequency is beneficial.
- Warm-up time is approximately 20 minutes, but 30 minutes is optimal. If you need to save time, consider using a smart plug timer (Xiaomi, Rạng Đông, etc.) with the machine’s power switch left in the on position. Set the plug to turn on at 6:30 AM and the machine is ready to brew by 7:00 AM — coffee with breakfast before work.
HOW TO ENABLE / DISABLE PRE-INFUSION MODE
- Step 1: Turn the machine off.
- Step 2: Move the E61 lever to its highest position.
- Step 3: Set the multi-function switch to the middle position (II).
- Step 4: Turn the machine on — the display will show “Pi” (pre-infusion).
- Step 5: Move the multi-function switch to position I, then back to position II.
- Step 6: Lower the E61 lever all the way down and wait 5 seconds.
- Step 7: Turn the machine off.
