Berg Wu from Taiwan won the World Barista Championship held in Dublin, Ireland in 2016. Since his victory, Berg Wu has never stopped researching and developing his passion in the coffee industry, gradually expanding it all the way to coffee bean sources in remote Africa.
Since 2021, the Ethiopian coffee samples that Berg Wu has introduced to coffee lovers worldwide have proven superior quality. Over the years, through refined processing collaborations, this coffee’s quality has continued to improve significantly.
Wuri is a coffee processing station in the Worka-Sakaro mountain region, a small locality in Gedeb district at 2000m altitude in Ethiopia. In 2025, Berg Wu’s coffee was harvested and processed here. This lot is marked with code MW25/01 and is sought after worldwide.

FLAVOR PROFILE OF BERG WU YIRGACHEFFE WURI WASHED COFFEE
When grinding Berg Wu Yirgacheffe, you can smell the dry aromas of citrus and jasmine. When drinking, black tea, peach, and citrus flavors brighten in your mouth. The aftertaste is sweet with tea and honey notes.

- Roast level: Light
- Best suited for: Pour-over, AeroPress, cold brew
- Start using after: About 10-15 days from roast date
- Best consumption period: 3 months when unopened and 1 month from first opening. If not using immediately, can be stored in freezer (freezing can extend freshness up to 1 year – when removed, can grind immediately without waiting to thaw)
- Recommended to open coffee beans one day before use to release gas and pressure from the bag, then reseal for more aromatic and well-rounded coffee flavor
- Whole bean coffee. If grinding is requested, please inform iCup of your brewing equipment for appropriate grind size selection. We encourage customers to own a coffee grinder for fresh grinding with each use
